Message of the two criteria you put forth for responses, but here's my take on the
debate. I've synthesized this information from the FAQ, but if I'm wrong
here, please, anyone feel free to correct me. BOVs are not traditional
modifications in the sense that they do not have a similar effect on every
car. Replacing your stock recircs with BOVs at stage 1 isn't the same as
doing it at stage VII (I randomly picked stages to emphasize power
levels). What I mean by this is that the recircs do a great job at what
they're meant to do and BOVs don't perform that job better. As you
move to higher power levels though, the stock recircs stop doing a great
job and start inhibiting performance, and the system needs to be
changed; enter BOVs. So overall, I don't think BOVs are going to do
anything better than the recircs; I think they simply become necessary
at a certain point of modification and a certain level of horsepower.
